Black widows?

Question

do black widows live in grove city ohio? i think i saw one. it was sitting in the light. i thought that was weird. then it ran off before i could kill it. what do i do tonight. it might bite me in my sleep

Yes, black widows can be found in Ohio, but with the many many species of spider that looks like black widows, and after seeing people call jumping spiders black widows, I doubt it was one.  Also, this spider is not going to wait until you sleep and bite you, they are not assassins.

You could always go to the store and get a bug bomb.  You just have to stay out of your place for about 1/2 hour and then air everything out for awhile.  It kills all the bugs.
