BlackBerry Pearl HELP!!?

ok so i got a pearl today and i need major help with it!

1. how do you keep the keypad light on when you're typing because mine will just go off at random times, even when im typying.

and if there is any other little things i need to know..please tell me! Thanks!! :)

i have the 8130 pearl and the light on the keypad will adjust according to how bright the room is..if you turn off all the lights and use the phone you'll notice the keypad get really bright but when you turn the lights all the way up the keypad with be very dim or turn off..

im not sure if you have heard of the site crackberry.com, but you can discuss your blackberry with other users, download free ringtones and wallpapers and purchase applications and accessories..

congratulations on buying the pearl, once you have it for a week you wont know how you ever lived without it
