Blackberry Curve Holster?

Question

I just bought the new blackberry curve 8310 and it is provided with a leather holster. It has a clip-like shape on the back of it but it does not open up to connect to your waist... what is it used for?

I think it's the design of the holster.

I have 8320 (T-Mobile) and at first I did not like the design of it so I looked for new holster but everything looked so cheap.

Now I am using it everyday to protect my BB when i put it in my pocket.

It's kinda useless. I used it for a week to keep the BB in my pocket. After a week of that, I went to the Tmobile store and bought a leather case that clips onto your belt.

haha it is worthless! hahah i was tryin to lift it.... hahah well what ended up happend was the part where it looks like a clip thats the way i faced the trackball so it wouldnt move like if u made it face the toher way.... it does nothing
