If I get the curve will I be able to get on the web without having to buy a monthly web plan because they are real expensive and I only use the web for buying ringtones and pic messages so I dont think I use it enough to pay an expensive monthly price plus what I pay for the tones and messages. So basically can I get on the web without buying the plan and just pay for when I do go on the web?

  1. Depending on your service provider, its going to best a lot more cost effective than just buying ringtones and sending pictures. On sprint, my unlimited data plan is about $15 a month and it is worth it. I use myspace and youtube without having to worry about any data surcharges. I would suggest getting a different phone because if you want to use web at all you will need another $25 a month for BlackBerry's email and internet service on top of an unlimited data plan. I would recommend a Palm device, but after having strange problems with my centro, I'm gonna stick with my Instinct.

  2. It uses edge witch costs 30$ a month. It does have wifi but it has a weak reciever and cancels wifi and activates edge sometimes the iPhone has really strong wifi and if you buy an iPhone with out a plan you can jailbreak and unlock it to use any phone service

  3. If you want to use the Internet on a BlackBerry Curve without having to purchase a data plan, then you will need to get the BlackBerry Curve 8320, which has built-in Wi-Fi. This is available for use on T-Mobile or AT&T (if unlocked). If you are using Verizon, Sprint or Alltel this model won't work.

With the Curve 8320 you can surf the Internet on the device using the Wi-Fi/HotSpot browser.
