Blackberry Pay as you go?

Im looking to buy a blackberry on ebay, is it possible to use it with a pay as you go simcard.

2 problems:

Buying a USED blackberry is not ideal...

Getting a Prepaid blackberry is highway robbery....

It will work on payg. But you won't be able to get internet or emai. To be able to get the internet / email you will have to get a contract with a internet / email add-on. You will only be able to make calls and send texts with a payg simcard.

It will work as a phone, but using the internet/email functions will either be impossible or expensive. A better choice for PAYG (having used a BB this way) is the Nokia E71 on PAYG from 3 (Three), with a £5 per month internet add on. It's a fabulous phone, cheaper, slimmer and better featured than a BB, plus it has a full office suite, something even the new BB Bold can't match. I know this may not be ideal for you, as the Nokia is probably too new to be on e-bay, but I promise it's worth it.

N O !

To be able to use the blackberry as its intended, PIM manger with email and browser then YOU MUST have a  contract specially for blackberry's as they rely on PUSH technologies not available on PAYG.

Also many PAYG will NOT allow internet access even via EDGE dial-up.
