Blackberry Pearl Desktop App problem?

Hey guys, I have a blackberry pearl and when I try to add applications its says "The blackberry desktop software does not have blackberry device software for the device that you have connected to the computer. Contact your wireless service provider or system administrator" Can someone help me please.

PS: Im trying to put the new colour pearl app, to my pearl.

On your BB, go to Options > About and the 3rd line will show your BB's operating system version.

Then, go to your provider's site and download the blackberry OS that matches. If you cannot find it there, look on blackberry.com. Download it, and install it to your PC.

It's basically saying you need the OS installed on your PC before it can install programs on your BB. The OS needs to match or you may get an upgrade/downgrade on your BB...
