Blackberry Pearl GPS with Rogers, is it Free?

I just upgraded my phone to the Blackberry Pearl 8110, my provider is Rogers, is it free to use and activate the GPS or do you need a plan? and if so for how much?

  1. No, it is not free.  I have an 8110 as well on Rogers and subscribe to the "Telenav" service ($10 per month) to get GPS.  Although the GPS does use data, as long as you have this service then all the data used for GPS applications would be covered under this price.


  2. GPS is Internet, so every time you access it you are being charged Internet usage.I would highly recommend you getting some sort of Internet plan to avoid extra charges on your bill. You can view Internet plans available through Rogers web site.
