ok, i set up my wifi with my router and i want to know what is UMA and can i text,make calls, and go on the internet with the wifi for free?

UMA allows you to make calls and send data and texts over your Wi-Fi connection. However, it isn't free. Data and texts will come out of your monthly allotment, as will your minutes. The only time your cell minutes won't be deducted is if you use T-Mobile's HotSpot at Home service, which is $10 a month. When you are on this plan and make calls when UMA is enabled, it won't take away from your cellular minutes' bucket.
