I have a blackberry pearl 8130 and I have noticed lately that my text messages gets automatically deleted sometimes. It's like I go into my text message folder, and they are all gone. Also I have the facebook application for blackberry, and my notifications has been getting automatically erased. Does anyone know what this could be because of and what I should change on my phone? I think I might of gotten notifications and text messages and it's been deleted before I can see them. Also does anyone know how to turn down the sound on a game? Even when I have my phone on vibration, some games still come on with volume and they are loud and I cannot turn them down. Any advice? Thanks.

  1. burn it

  2. This is caused by the device having a low amount (or none at all) of memory. When the memory gets lower (lower than 12MB in some cases, although there is not a set number) the device will start deleting messages and/or call logs to conserve memory. You can check your available memory by going to Options > Status and checking the File Free parameter.

The quickest way to free up some memory is to perform a hard reset. Remove the battery from the device (while it is

still powered on) for about 10 seconds, then reinsert. Also, look at the links below for ways to maximize the memory:

  3. Your phone is out of memory.  Blackberry's do not come with large amounts of memory, very small amount.  Enough to hold your address book, some emails, a few pictures and a tone or two.  First off, you do need an SD media card (2, 4, or 8 gig), move your pictures to the media card once you get it.

For now, erase all uneeded emails and text....also clear out your internet cache (Browser>Menu>Gen.options)

  4. to turn the volume down try the right top side their should be tow buttons the top to turn the volume up bottom to turn it down

  5. the message problem is because your running out of space on your phone , go to options>advanced options>applications and delete all of the applications you dont need, this will free up space so it will hold your messages

  6. dont care.
