Blackberry Pearl organizer function?

Question

I have a Blackberry Pearl and have installed the Blackberry Desktop Manager software on my pc. How does the organizer sync work? Does it sync w/ Outlook's organizer? Do you have to install some other organizer? Basically I want to enter things in my organizer on my computer and then sync them to my blackberry.

if u figure out how to use that program please let me know because iv had my blackberry like 8 months and still cant figure it out

The Desktop Manager is like a middle man program that takes the information from an organizer (like Microsoft Outlook) and synchronizes it to the BlackBerry device. You can set it to do a one-way or two-way sync.
