Blackberry curve 8320 backlight problem?

I own a blackberry curve 8320 and I know the back light automatically comes off to save battery life but it doesn't come on automatically when I need it. Like getting a text message or browsing the web. Can anyone give me any advice?

That's a common BB complaint.  You need a free application called BBLight... you can do an OTA install by putting the following URL in your BB web browser:

It's a great application and it will light up your BB however you wish.  Good luck! :-)
