Blackberry curve help please!!!!?

I just got the blackberry curve and I know have this message box on top that I just can't seem to get away. I am a teenager so I know how to work it pretty well by now. I just can't figure out what this message is. It looks like it could be a text, but when a text message comes it is a seperate box on top.

It is a little orange/yellow envelope and has a one next to it

That's a normal e-mail message (probably sent by Blackberry when you got your phone)

Go to your text messages and click the menu button. Go to Folders and then Messages. It should be there.

Its a voice mail. To get it hold down the one and listen to it then delete it and it will go away. lol.
