  1. I work in Blackberry technical support at a wireless carrier.  First, is it only a problem with the picture message from her or from others?  Can you send one to yourself OK?  Second, yes, the Curve is capable of sending and receiving picture messages (known as MMS in the biz).  However, RIM (manufacturer of Blackberry) had to send out new settings for their phones and I know that the carrier I work for had a lot of calls in the last couple months about it.  To solve it go to Options > Advanced Options > Service Book and delete the service book for MMS (it will say something like 'MMS Config 2.0' or something).  Then go back to Advanced Options > Host Routing Table > Menu Button > Register Now.  Pull the battery and then send yourself a MMS.  If you are able to send and receive a MMS from yourself just fine then have your friend send a NEW MMS and see if it comes through.  If the new one comes through fine, then try resending the one that didn't come through.  If these don't work, contact your wireless carrier to see if there are system problems in the area or just with your line.  Hope that helps!
