Blackberry curve vs. pearl?

I have verizon, which one would you recommend for a high school student. I need a good planner, and a phone that is reliable. Would it be worth it to get? And would I be able to do school stuff, like using word documents and internet searches? I know I'm asking a lot, but please help!

The two devices are very similar, as far as what they can do. Physically is where the differences come in. The Curve has the full QWERTY keypad, while the Pearl has a SureType QWERTY keypad. The Curve has the larger screen, while the Pearl is smaller.

The BlackBerry devices from Verizon don't ship with built-in support for editing Microsoft documents. There are third-party programs you can purchase that will allow you to do this, though.

You can do searches on the Internet by using the BlackBerry Internet browser.
