when you add a email address to the blackberry does the email go to your phone and your inbox or just your phone?

It goes to both your phone AND your email inbox. When you read mail from your phone, you have the option to delete the email from just the phone or both the phone AND your inbox. :)

Yes you will get a copy of that message in your regular inbox and a copy on the Blackberry.
