I got this pearl 8100 second hand and cannot figure out where the phonebook is. Is there such thing as phone book? I uploaded the sim card but there is no way for going through the names. If I enter a number, the name will show up when I want to make a phone call. I wnet to options, as the help said, but there is no general options on my menu, is it possible that the previous owner had deleted the general options compeletly?

  1. There should be an icon called Address Book. It sounds as though your contacts are saved on your SIM card, and need to be copied to the Address Book.

The address book icon may be hidden. While on the Home Screen (the screen where all the icons show) press the BlackBerry key (the one with the dots on it), then select Show All. Some other grayed-out icons may show. See if you see one called Address Book. If you do, highlight it and press the BlackBerry key, then uncheck the Hide option. Then you can press the BlackBerry key again and uncheck Show All.

Once that is done you can open the Address Book, press the BlackBerry key, then select SIM Phone Book. This will show any addresses on your SIM card. You can press the BlackBerry key again and then select Copy All To Address Book. That will copy the SIM card contacts to your main Address Book.
