Blackberry for a newbie...?

Hi guys!

I've just moved here to America form the Philippines just last year and I will be finished with college come July then I will be moving out to California.

My query: I have been planning on getting myself a phone that will assist me in getting acquainted with the city quickly and will also serve its function in making things convenient for me (GPS, email, etc) I've always been a fan of Nokia, but I think I'm ready to move on....

Whick blackberry or whatever phone would you guys recommend to keep up with a busy lifestyle?

Definitely look into the Curve! The top-selling BlackBerry for a very good reason. It is an awesome phone.

If you're not worried about having a camera on your phone, also look into the World Edition. It's a little bigger, but it has a lot more features for travelers and those who need heavy GPS and navigation-type applications.

Intimidating at first when you come from a normal phone. But it doesn't take long until you're wondering how you got around without it.

I have a busy life also with work... and friends and also family. i have to schedule appts i have to travel to new places so i need gps i get important emails and text messages so i went and purchased the Blackberry Pearl 8130 and its my life now like i live through my phone i would recommend it to anyone with a busy schedule or someone who travels because its gps capable and with my plan i only have to pay $10 extra for my GPS and if you dont like the Pearl they have another its the Blackberry Curve 8330. My boyfriend has this phone its very nice also and it also has GPS on it.. Hope i could help....

I think the newer BlackBerry Pearl's and Curve's have GPS, Email, and applications that you speak to, to show you what you want. There are applications like TellMe that you open and tell the application what you want such as a movie theater or a nice place to eat.
