Blackberry help noww!!!!!!!!!!!!!! please please!!!!!?

ok i have my dads blackberry with me and i am not familiar with it at ALL but my phones dead and i have to make a call but its off how do i turn it on?? pressing the hang up key isnt working!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Charge it first then push the power button (The little sun button that also turns on the backlight). It often takes a minute or two to start up. It won't start up if the battery is not charged first.

Which BlackBerry. . .? For the Pearl, it's the hang-up key.
