Blackberry won't charge/turn on?

Question

i just got the blackberry world edition, and when i plug it in using the charger/adapter, nothing happens. not only will it not turn on, but the LED in the top right corner doesn't even turn on.

i used a USB cord and plugged it into the computer, and although the LAPTOP recognizes it, the blackberry still doesn't respond in any sort of way.

any ideas?

You got screwed and need to kick who ever sold it to you's ***.

It could be multiple of things, if the battery is inserted correctly and you are not getting any light on it possibly the battery is dead. Test out another battery, by taking it to a store or a friend.  It could be the battery(test your battery in a diff bb device), device (not holding a charge), maybe device doesn't charge. It could be one of those issue.  Best thing to do is test with another battery and you will def know which one is the problem. Also if the light ever comes on and blackberry is not turning on then, it could be a soft issue and maybe that needs to be reloaded. Finally if that doesn't work then the BB pretty much have to be replaced.

check to make sure the battery is in correctly, if the puter see  your berry  run the desktop manager and restore  the software
