Blackburn Rovers’ Christopher Samba denies making comments about a move to Arsenal

Samba has been linked with a move to the Gunners since the beginning of the summer transfer window, but so far has not been allowed to make his dream move. The club is determined to hold on to the player and have made their wishes very clear.
Blackburn are reportedly low on funds for the current transfer window, which is why they have not yet made any signings despite being linked to a host of players. This is one of the reasons they are not looking forward to losing players, for fear they would
not find suitable replacements for an affordable price.
Samba reportedly spoke about the situation regarding the move to Arsenal and apparently claimed he wanted to make a move to the Emirates Stadium because he wanted to play European football. However, he claimed he was unable to do anything about the situation
and would continue on at Blackburn until the management made a decision about his future.
Samba said while speaking to the media:
“I don't know what is happening with Arsenal because I am not dealing with it and it's not my problem.
At the minute I am still at Blackburn but it would be a big lie if I told you 'everything is good and I don't want to play in the Champions League’.”
He continued:
“It is difficult for me at the moment because I'm just waiting to see what happens and concentrating on my preparation for the new season.”
The Congolese international denied the above mentioned comments on his personal Twitter account, claiming he had said no such things and that he was happy at Blackburn Rovers. He insisted the reports published were false and that he would remain at Ewood
Park.
Samba said on his Twitter account:
“The declarations about me are totally false - never said that.
I'm a Rovers player and will never mention other clubs - it's disrespectful. Not happy right now.”
