http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Mark-Bunn-c24110, the Blackburn Rovers goalkeeper, revealed his side were determined to turn things around by a win over Manchester United over the weekend.
The Rovers have had a pathetic start to the 2011-2012 Premier League season and are currently at the bottom of the table. If things continue the way they are going then there’s a chance that Steve Kean’s side will face relegation at the end of the season.
Bunn revealed that there had was unity amongst the team and they were determined on climbing out of the bottom three. The English stopper felt the fixture against Manchester United was time for them to start securing wins and all three points.
As for the manager, Kean, Bunn admitted that despite all the negativity in the media about the Scotsman the team was a 100% behind him. Recently there have been planned protests against Kean, but according to Bunn, that had only made the team stronger.
Bunn said while speaking to reporters:
“There is definitely togetherness. We have been together all season and obviously we have not been getting the results we would like but we are behind Steve Kean.”
The 27-year-old said his side had been extremely pleased with the 1-1 draw against http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Rovers-c40385 take on Manchester
United over the weekend.
He revealed:
“It was great to get the final result (at Anfield) and that can only give us confidence for the next game. The point can help for confidence for the rest of the season.”
According to Bunn, the upcoming game against Manchester United was one of the most important game of the season and it was essential for his side to get a favourable result. Bunn continued:
“Old Trafford is another massive game for us and another big game. We just have to dig deep again and hopefully get a result from it.
It is going to be another massive game but if we defend like we did on Monday hopefully we can limit their chances and get something.”
