 Blackburn Rovers and Bolton Wanderers
Blackburn Rovers:
The Grenada international striker of Blackburn Rovers, Jason Roberts is astonished to be back in the picture at Blackburn Rovers after struggling for long time to win a place in the starting eleven at Ewood Park. The 32-year-old’s contract is set to expire
by the end of this season but he hopes that his current performances would earn him a new deal at Blackburn.
Roberts is also expected to make his fifth consecutive start of this season on Saturday against West Ham United. The 32-year-old striker said: "Maybe I could not see this coming but you always have faith in your ability. Everyone at this level believes
they are good enough to be playing all the time. I certainly do. I will continue doing what I have done. It is a bit of a turn around. It is a strange game."
The Rovers lost their last Premier League match against their fierce rivals Bolton Wanderers.  Despite having one man advantage in the second half, Blackburn slumped to a three one defeat at home.
The Rovers are placed 13th in Barclays Premier League table with 21 points to their name out of 17 League matches.
Blackburn will welcome Avran Grant’s West Ham United, who are currently battling relegation battle, for the eighteenth round of Barclays Premier League next Saturday.
Moreover, Blackburn Rovers’ manager Sam Allardyce was sacked by the new owners of Rovers, Venky’s. Steve Keane, who was Rovers reserve team coach, is now care-taker manager of Rovers until new manager is signed.
Bolton Wanderers:
The Trotters manager is poised to recall his one of the in-form midfielder, Stuart Holden, to Bolton’s squad against Sunderland on Saturday following a thigh injury.
The 25-year-old has been a revelation at Reebok Stadium this season and was on the brink of a return against Blackburn Rovers but Owen Coyle decided not to risk his talismanic midfielder.
Coyle said: "There had been a little reaction and because of the size of the squad we could not afford to have Stuart Holden missing for four or five weeks. I need all my players mentally tuned and knowing they are at their best. There was a little nagging
doubt in his mind that his thigh would not last the pace of the match."
Owen Coyle and his men defeated their fierce rivals Blackburn Rovers last weekend by three goals to nil. Bolton managed to get all three points even though they were one man down. The history was made at that day as Bolton won against Blackburn for the first
time in six years.
Bolton Wanderers are currently sitting at sixth spot in Barclays Premier League. Owen Coyle and his army have managed to get 26 points out of 17 league matches. Sunderland, who are sitting seventh in League and are unbeaten at home, will host Bolton Wanderers
for the eighteenth round of English Top flight football.
Moreover, the Trotters’ recent form is very impressive as they won their 3 matches, drew 2 and lost only one out of recent six matches.
