Blackburn Rovers manager Steve Kean has insisted that he is certain he will be successful in guiding his team out of the bottom three in the English Premier League by the end of the season.
Kean has been under immense pressure from the supporters after a terrible start to the new season which saw the http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Rovers-c40385 taking just 14 points from the opening 20 games. With brief stints of success like the win over Manchester United, Blackburn Rovers have
had a horrific season.
If things continue the way they are then there is no doubt that the Blackburn Rovers will face relegation at the end of the season. However, Kean was certain that as long as he had the support of the players he would not face any trouble.
Kean said while speaking to reporters:
“It would be more difficult to take that stick on the touchline if you didn't think the players were responding.
But players have always responded to me and you can tell the atmosphere in the dressing room is still good. I've been in enough to know when it isn't right.”
The Scottish manager believed he would be able to turn things around with the help of the squad, especially the players returning from injury. The club has had many injury problems this season, which has undoubtedly affected their performance but Kean was
certain that was about to change.
He said:
“It's good that I've finally got some more senior players coming back from injury. We haven't had any defenders. I hope to get some players in too, and a new assistant.”
Speaking on the abuse he faced from the fans during the Rovers games, Kean revealed he did not pay too much to that. The manager revealed he was focused on leading his side out of the bottom three and make sure they managed to avoid relegation at the end
of the season.
The Scotsman said he supported the club owners Venky’s because he felt they were doing what was best for the club and would ultimately lead to their success in the long run. He was optimistic they would bring more funding as the season progressed.
He continued:
“I've supported them because they have given me the opportunity to manage the team, and I believe the funding will come.”
