Blackburn Rover boss Steve Kean revealed he was certain the club would manage to avoid relegation into the Championship at the end of this season.

When asked of his side’s chances of survival, Kean was confident they would avoid relegation. He said while speaking to reporters:
“Of course we are, absolutely no question. I believe even now, with our injuries, we can go back and look at some real tough decisions.

According to Kean, his side were not any less talented as compared to the other English Premier League sides but had been unlucky this season. He revealed the last minute penalty decisions against them had really affected the results.
However, he remained confident of a late revival, which he believed would be triggered by spending in the winter transfer window. Kean believed that the introduction of fresh players in the squad would ensure better results and guarantee a climb in the Premier
League table.
“We are really confident if we have a good (transfer) window, which I am sure we will, and get these defenders back, then we will really fly out of the blocks in the second part of the season.”
The manager was certain his side would return to winning ways in the second part of the season.
