Blackburn Rovers defender Scott Dann eager for England call-up

Dann was amongst the many players who completed their move on
the deadline day of the summer transfer window.

were unfortunately relegated at the end of last season.
Dann admitted it had been especially disappointing to see his side face relegation from the sidelines, with the defender out with an injury towards the end of the season. Their Carling Cup victory didn’t count for much as they ended up in the bottom three
of the League and were condemned to Championship football in the new season.
Dann said in an interview:
“Being injured is hard enough and then having to deal with being relegated, albeit I couldn't really do much about that for the last couple of months being injured, you still feel part of it and it's not a nice feeling.”
Dann admitted Birmingham City’s relegation had played a big part in his decision to leave the club for a Premier League outfit. The former http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/England-c749 under-21 international was certain he would get a chance to impress Capello at Ewood Park, which would earn
him a place on the senior squad.
He revealed:
“Obviously it's an ambition of mine to play for England and hopefully I can do that in the future.
Hopefully coming to a club like Blackburn can help me do that.”
Dann continued:
“I haven't played much football lately because of all the things going on and all the speculation but I'm more determined than ever to play football.
I don't think I've ever been more determined. I'm just looking forward to it and I can't wait to get going.”
Dann has signed a long-term four year deal with Blackburn Rovers for an undisclosed fee and revealed he was eager to get started with his new side. The English defender could make his debut for Blackburn http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Rovers-c40385 when they travel to Fulham for their next English
Premier League fixture on 11th September.
