Blackburn http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Ryan-Nelsen-c31992 defends clubs lack of activity in the transfer window
Serbian side Partizan Belgrade confirmed they had received interest from English Premier League side Blackburn Rovers for the 22-year-old defensive midfielder Radosav Petrovic. Partizan have decided to sell the Serbian international and it seems he is headed
to Blackburn in the summer transfer window.
The club revealed in an official statement:
“We have a serious bid for Petrovic and the chances are that there will be a transfer.”
Petrovic signed for Partizan in the summer of 2008 from FK Radnicki Obrenovac on a long-term five year deal. In his three seasons at the club, the Serbian midfielder has gone on to make a total of 107 appearances and has scored an impressive 20 goals.
During his time at the club, Partizan went on to win the Serbian SuperLiga in 2008–09, 2009–10 and 2010–11. The rumours of him signing a five year contract extension coincided with a reported move to the http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Netherlands-c753, which never went through due to disagreement
over the compensation the player’s agent was set to receive.
However, he now looks to be on his way to the English Premier League with Blackburn Rovers said to be the side close to signing the 22-year-old. If he is signed sooner than later than Petrovic could be Blackburn’s first signing of the summer transfer window.
Unlike most Premier League sides, Blackburn have yet to make any signings in the current transfer window. The supporters are reportedly tired of waiting for new arrivals and with the transfer window drawing to a close every day, they are beginning to worry.
Blackburn defender, the 33-year-old defender, revealed he was certain the club would go on to make signings and urged the supporters to be patient. While manager Steve Kean has identified his desire to bring in new players, he is unable to do so because
of lack of funds.
The Blackburn owners, Venky’s, have so far failed to provide the Blackburn manager with the necessary resources to make signings. The http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/New-Zealand-c754 international said he expected the club to bring in players when the time was right.
Nelsen said while speaking to reporters:
“Of course, but there is no panic. Just because you have money, it doesn't mean you have to splash it out stupidly.
The owners and the manager are intelligent people and they will buy when it is the right time to buy. They aren't going to splash it for the sake of splashing it.
For the fans, patience is going to have to be had and they will have to trust that the owners have Blackburn in their hearts and only see a bright future for the club.”
