Blackburn Rovers manager Steve Kean revealed he was disappointed by the fans calling for his removal, but insisted he was certain he could return the club to winning ways. Some supporters are organizing a march demanding the Blackburn Rovers owners Venky’s
to consider Kean’s position at the club. They will be marching before the match against Arsenal at Ewood Park on Saturday.
Blackburn Rovers have had a terrible start to new English Premier League campaign and are currently are at the bottom of the Premier League table with just one point. They have managed to register one draw in four games, making it their worst start in many
seasons. It is for this reason that the supporters have urged the owners to take charge before the situation deteriorates.
Kean insisted that he understood what the fans were going through and admitted that his side had not had the best of the starts. However, he felt it was too early for them to start calling for his http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Job-c18684. Kean was confident his side would manage a decent result
against Arsenal at Ewood Park over the weekend and urged the supporters to show up to support the team
Kean said in an interview:
“There is nobody more frustrated than myself and the players because we think we have done well enough to get all three points (in games), never mind none or a point.”
The owner’s have taken note of the protest by the supporters and issued an official statement, which stated that they were in charge of the situation. However, they did not comment on Kean’s position, which has raised some questions. The Scotsman does not
have an impressive record with Blackburn Rovers, having won just seven matches since taking charge, but claims to be on good terms with Venky’s.
Kean said:
“I spoke with the owners yesterday. As always they gave me their full backing and said, 'If there is going to be a demonstration, don't worry, we're fully behind you.'”
Kean took over from Sam Allardyce as the manager at the club and does not expect to be leaving any time soon. He said he was confident of improving the team’s performance in the upcoming matches, which would undoubtedly win over the fans once again. The
Rovers boss admitted he was concerned that the march could affect the match.
He continued:
“I am disappointed to be honest but the feedback I am getting is the fans are going to have a march and then afterwards they are going to back the team.
I am delighted about that, they are going to get behind the lads and that is what they have always done.”
