Blackburn Rovers manager Steve Kean confirms signing Simon Vukcevic
Blackburn Rovers have successfully signed http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Montenegro-c2959 international.
Vukcevic, who has signed a three year deal, is expected to arrive at the club in the upcoming days.
While an agreement has been reached between the two sides, the player awaits his visa and work permit. The Blackburn Rovers boss revealed he was hoping Vukcevic received his work permit in the next few days, which means he would be available for the English
Premier League clash against Everton at Ewood Park.
Blackburn http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Rovers-c40385 have had a terrible start to the new season, losing both their opening fixture. They suffered a 2-1 loss in their first clash against Wolverhampton Wanderers and then went on to lose 3-1 to Aston Villa at Villa Park. Kean is determined their
poor form is due to lack of sufficient signings in the summer transfer window.
He convinced the Blackburn Rovers owners, Venky’s, to splash some cash in the remaining few days of the transfer window to strengthen the squad. They have made some bids since then and have so far secured the Montenegrin attacking midfielder. However, there
may be a chance that Vukcevic could be unavailable over the weekend if his work permit does not come through.
Kean said while speaking to reporters:
“Hopefully he'll be back in the country some time tomorrow.
It's going to be difficult for him to be involved in (the Carling Cup) game because he has not even trained with us.
But if he comes back with all the appropriate paperwork then he will train with us on Thursday and Friday in preparation for the http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Everton-c13019 game.”
Kean revealed he was hopeful the arrival of Vukcevic would make the squad stronger, with the player having displayed versatility and top form while at Sporting CP. He joined the Portuguese outfit in the summer of 2007 for a fee of €2 million and in his four
years at the club has gone on to make 131 appearances in all competitions and has scored 28 goals.

“He is an exciting player. He can play wide left or wide right. He has good technical ability and is a very focused guy.
He is very serious about his football, and I think he will give us a totally different dimension.”
