Blackburn http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Barcelona-c38604 B striker, was a top quality player but revealed that he sometimes went overboard with his tricks. Rochina scored in the 3-2 Carling Cup win over Leyton Orient last
night, bringing his goal tally up to four goals in five appearances in all competitions this season.
Rochina was in top form in the fixture last night, but Kean revealed that the player missed out on some important opportunities because of spending too much time on the ball. The Scotsman felt that the young forward would improve overtime as he was still
adapting to the English Premier League. He said the Rochina had put the team at risk on countless occasions because of losing the ball to the opponents.
Kean said in an interview:
“Ruben is still young. I think we have to ensure there is stability behind his tricks to make sure there is shape to the team.
He still must learn that because it does not matter where you are playing, if you lose the ball in the wrong areas then you are putting your team in danger.”
Kean was certain Rochina could further improve if he determined when it was the right time to pass the ball and when he had to retain possession. The Spaniard was hailed as a difference-maker by Kean, but at the same time the Blackburn Rovers boss urged
the striker to improve himself. He was certain the young forward would develop further as the season progressed.
Kean revealed:
“He doesn't look like a player who doesn't have the ball under control at any time.
He always has his head up and if you had a freeze frame you would see he is always looking at what is going on.”
He continued:
“He is a difference-maker but he has to adapt to how we want to play.”
