Having run out of contract with Boca Juniors, Pavone joins the Rovers on a free transfer, becoming their first signing of the summer transfer window. Unlike most of the Premier League sides, Blackburn have not been very active in the transfer window, apparently due to the lack of funds. The Argentinean has not cost them anything and will join the squad right away.
