Blackburn Rovers versus Manchester City – Second half review: English Premier League (Part 1)
Manchester City and Blackburn Rovers resumed their English Premier League encounter at Ewood Park without any changes to their starting lineups.
It was expected that Steve Keane would bring about some changes at the half time break for Blackburn Rovers but the Rovers’ manager retained his starting eleven as the second half began.

Blackburn’s shot stopper showcased tremendous reflexes to tip the ball away for a Manchester City corner kick. The corner kick was taken by http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/David-Silva-c10602 but his delivery was an inaccurate one as Robinson came out of his six yard box to claim the ball.

In the 59th minute, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Nigel-de-Jong-c27882 followed his teammate into the referee’s book due to a reckless sliding tackle on Olsson. The Dutch midfielder was shown his first yellow card of the match as a result of his careless tackle.
After dominating the first half, City faded away at the start of the second despite Yaya Toure’s fantastic header. The men in blue allowed Blackburn to establish a foothold in the match due to their lethargic approach.
Blackburn’s comeback was assisted by Olsson’s relentless running and David Dunn’s determined attitude.
