  1. melody maker is around 3-400 used for the good ones, not vintage, but good ones from the 90s early 2000s.  i dunno what the h**l a blackburn tele is, but i've had good experiences with fenders overall that are non CBS era.  i own a standard telecaster from 2002 that i got used, put in new pickups, and its great for punk, blues, jazz, rock, metal anything i can throw at it.  i used to have a melody maker, and its really only good for punk and blues, and some jazz.  the sound is best fit to blues and some types of non hardcore punk
