Blackburn’s http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Jason-Roberts-c17973 out to spoil Manchester United’s coronation – English Premier League news
Blackburn http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Rovers-c40385 man, Jason Roberts, has fired off a warning to would-be English Premier League champions, Manchester United, ahead of Saturday’s meeting between the two sides at Ewood Park. Roberts believes that Blackburn won’t just roll over for the League
leaders, and he claims that his side will push United to their limit in their upcoming encounter.
Having defeat nearest rivals http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Chelsea-c38786 last week, Manchester United are all but certain to lift a record breaking 19th Premier League title. The result against the Blues at Old Trafford has given the Red Devils an insurmountable six-point lead at
the summit of the standings. Sir http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Alex-c4752 Ferguson’s men need just a point from their remaining two games to be crowned Champions for the 2010/2011 Premier League season.
Blackburn’s current status is in stark contrast to that of the Red Devils. While Sir Alex’s men need a result to ensure their place in the Premier League history books, the Rovers need a result just to ensure their place in the Premier League. Manchester
United are strong favourites to walk away from Ewood Park with the title in their hands, but Blackburn’s Jason Robert’s believes that his side has what it takes to delay their coronation ceremony.
Speaking on the upcoming match, Roberts said, “I've been part of teams who have beaten Manchester United at Ewood Park and it's a fantastic feeling. Maybe we can do that again. I wouldn't relish the opportunity to stop them winning the title but I'd relish
the opportunity of beating Manchester United. It doesn't come round often in your career.”
He added, "They are worthy champions. They have been fantastic this season. But they have to come to Blackburn to get a result."
It is a sentiment shared by manager Steve Kean. The Rovers boss insists that his team are going to approach the match fully focused on their own goals, and not with the intent of halting Manchester United’s march to Premier League glory.
Kean said, “We just want to do our job first. It's not a case of us stopping United. It's about us doing our job so we can finish as high up the table as we can. We approach every game with no bias or no malice towards anyone else. We'll just try to do the
best for our club."
Blackburn are currently in 15th place in the Premier League standings and look to secure their Premier League statue at the earliest.
