Blackhouse Lace prominent in the William Hill Supporting Racing Post TV Stakes
The favourite entry of the Grade A1 William Hill Supporting Racing Post TV Stakes, Centaur Chav, has been scratched from the line-up which leaves the punters with five options to select from. Majority of them have not been racing at the Grade A1 level, not recently at least, and those who did try giving it a shot, could not come out successful.
The 480 metres flat race will be staged at Newcastle on Tuesday, 9th October. Taking their chances with the £133 prize money are Blackhouse Lace, I Am The Man, Beo Reborn, Was Not David and Droopys Mahers.
The most endearing entry for the race is the four-year-old black b***h, Blackhouse Lace. She has been racing since 2010, and has raced at Grade A1 level at several occasions before. She has never excelled in any of them, and tonight will be her first time that she will give the level a shot in the current season.
The consistency, stability and form of Westmead Hawk’s four-year-old daughter are evident through the last three races that she has won. Two of them were at Grade A3 level and the last one was at the HP level.
The red trap led the track right after leashing from one end of it, and by 29.46 seconds, the S. Ray trained completed the trip. Winning by the margin of 1 ¾ lengths, the four-year-old defeated Target Rio, into the second slot.
She maintained the similar composure in the Grade A3 William Hill Hotbox Bet Stakes on 29th September, 2012 at Newcastle over 480 metres. She once again raced in the same colour and followed the same racing tactic that got her on the other end in 29.60 seconds.
Winning by a length’s mark had Lil Hero stationed in the second position.
Her most recent success story was in the Grade HP Bet On Your Mobile At williamhill.com on 4th October, 2012 at Newcastle over 480 metres.
Leading from the fourth trap after breaking out of the fifth box had her concluding the race in 29.65 seconds.
The difference of 1 ½ lengths shoved Lil Joy in the second position.
She has got back to the red colour for tonight, and is backed by 6 to 1 odds.
