Question:

Blacking out on roller coasters?

Everytime I go to Cedar Point, I black out after the first hill of Millennium Force for about 5 seconds, and Mantis is even worse. I black out, or sometimes my vision just goes really faint for the first 1/3 of the ride. It's really scary! Is there anything I can do to prevent this? And is this unsafe, should I not be riding? In addition to that, I get really bad headaches from most roller coasters, that last for the rest of the day. Why is this? I absolutely LOVE roller coasters, and it really messes up the experience! I am going to Cedar Point this Saturday, and would love to solve this problem!

  1. ^^ Person above me, that is not normal. I 'black out' at some parts of nitro, as in i just lose my vision. To lose you're entire memory of the ride is really, really bad. I would see a doctor, if I were you.

  2. This has happened to me a lot too.  Actually I was at Cedar Point yesterday and it happened on every ride I went on.  Not severly, but bad enough to mke me stop after 5 rides.  Happened to me riding the vortex at Kings Island as well.  From what I've seen online, you might want to have your blood pressure checked.  Other than that, your body may be naturally doing this out of shock, brcaing yourself for trauma.
