  1. Counting cards is for amateurs. What you do is look for a change in the way the cards are falling. Don't worry about other peoples cards. Also,Blackjack, is not about getting 21. It is about making the dealer bust.See,it ain't rocket science. I retired playing blackjack at a very young age.

There are very complicated methods of detecting advantages in them, honestly, i never quite understood them because they were so intricate and complicated, but they sounded plausible when i read about them".

There was only one problem with the and it was with the shuffle master one2six shuffler it was a software glitch which unfortunately Sandy was ironed out in February.

Casino's will never be fully covered by shuffle machines.

  3. Continuous shuffle machines are nice and they do what they are designed to do (for the most part)

The problem is, many people dont like them (players dont like them)  its hard to be supersticious and get a hot shoe if theres no shoe and thats the way most gamblers (that the casino makes money off of) thinks

More importantly card counters dont like them, and while the average joe might think "well no card counters means more money for the casino" thats not the case.  Of all the "card counters" that enter the casino, the greater majority of them do not entirely or anywhere near entirely know what they are doing.  For every successful proficient card counter, there are 100 other amatuer counters that either dont know enough information, or lack the self control to make the right moves with a lot of money on the table.  In the end card conters bet more money than the average gambler, and since more of them fail than succeed do to their own incompitence, they are worth more money to the casino than the average gambler, and ruling out the possibility of card counting altogether would spell large losses for the casinos.

  4. No, I suspect that the casinos will always offer some shoe games, although you may find them only at the higher level games in the future, that seems to be the trend now.

There are still ways to maximize your blackjack session profits, even when playing against CSMs, provided you develop your skill levels sufficiently. Continue to practice and learn as much as you can about the game. But while you do this, I suggest you also get some good grades, stay in school and graduate from college with a useable degree. Focus on having a profession, and play blackjack for fun and entertainment. Not many players can make a living playing blackjack.

The guy who supposedly did find an exploit for the CSMs was called zengrifter. He claimed to have discovered a "clumping" pattern to the CSMs a few years back. Here is a link to an interview with him - it took place while he was in prison, so take it as you will, lol.

    Good luck at the tables!

  5. Might I suggest a different idea? How about poker? Specifically no limit Texas Hold'em.

A girl just won over two million dollars in the first European World Series of Poker. She was 18, and had been playing since she was 15.

The problem with Blackjack is that you are playing the house. They can change the rules and the odds to hurt you. They can simply kick you out if they think you are too good. They don't want you to win.

Compare that with poker. The game is played against other players, not the house. So the house doesn't care if you win or lose. You can dominate the game, take everyone's money and they don't care at all!

So if I were 16 right now, looking to learn a game, poker would be my focus. There is a lot of money in that game right now, and if you work hard on your game playing play money, you could be quite an expert by the time you are old enough to play for real.

Just my two cents. Whatever you decide. Good luck.
