Which is the best way?

assigning 2-6 = +1; 10-A = -1; 7,8,9 =0

or 2-9 = +1; 10-A = -1

then finding the true count for both above..

or in a deck of 52, count (36,16)

36 low, 16 high,

keep count of both low and high then, divide high by low for a ratio? (as in thorps book)?

  1. i think the 2-6=+1        7-9=0   10-ace= -1  works best because with   that method you can figure out the probability of getting   a low card or the probability of getting a high value card.

with the 2-9=+1, 10-a= -1 you can only figure out the probability of getting a high card(10-a) or any card ranging from 9-2.

i dont know about the last method  iv never used it.
