Blackjack in Las Vegas and Macau Questions?

In Macau's or Las Vegas's casinos, how many decks do the dealers use in Blackjack? Do they reshuffle after every play?

In vegas for single deck, if its a full table they have to shuffle every time.  If its just 1 player, they usually get about 4 or 5 hands out before they shuffle again.  If you are changing your bet around or bet 5 times higher than your average bet, they will reshuffle right away (cause you might be counting cards)  They do this for double and single deck.  On the 6 deck shoes, they dont shuffle until most of the cards are out.

In Vegas, there are 1, 2, and 6 deck games, as well as a few continuous shuffle machines.

The continuous shuffle machines do shuffle in between hands.  If the game is hand dealt (1 or 2 decks) or has a shoe (6 decks) then the cards are not shuffled in between hands, only when the stack is nearly depleted (the shuffle point is marked by the cut card).

NOTE:  Many casinos use auto-shufflers for their shoe games to save time, but still deal from a shoe that isn't connected to the shuffle machine.  If you aren't sure and you see a machine, observe the table for a couple of hands to make sure that it isn't a continuous shuffle table.
