  1. the pleasure beach is good. Best if you buy a wrist band and it's £5 cheaper if you get it on line. Also there is a zoo and madam Tussuad's in blackpool. It's tacky but can be fun.

  2. If you like run down hotels and guest houses, the smell of stale urine and puke, then yes.

  3. you could get the train to Blackpool...im not quite sure what trains go there but I know that you could get on the Blackpool North which also passes through Wigan..i dont know if you would be able to get this though. i think there are quite a few rail services to Blackpool

i would say Blackpool is alright for a day trip but all in all, the pleasure beach is the only decent thing there - it does have some good rides and is really good for spending the day as there is lots to do in the pleasure beach and also a few restaurants in the complex, as well as the circus which features some really good ice skating and acrobatic shows.

apart from this though, Blackpool is pretty shabby and its not the kinda place i would want to spend for than a day. its a rough area and a bit too 'cheap and cheerful' but if you havent been before then i think it is worth a visit. you can always go and see the pier and blackpool tower aswell, and if you go in the winter you should go and watch the Blackpool Illuminations!

  4. yeah its alright, but at the moment theyve been doing alot of work on the roads and the sea front so it looks kinda scruffy >_<

you can probably get the train too. some places also have a coach that goes there but it could take a LONG time haha

  5. It is a good day but it can be expensive. The rides in pleasure beach are dear and if you buy a wristband be carefull as some rides arent included on it. The beach is not very nice and i wouldnt advise sitting on it, the sea is dirty and very rough... do not go in it!

Having said that i visit at least once a year with my partner and kids... mainly when the illuminations are on and then the golden mile looks beautifull all lit up.

Search Blackpool on google and see if you still want to go there. It can be a good trip and theres plenty to do... wax museem, water world, sea life centre etc. Just remember to take plenty of money with you.

To find out how to get there, just go on google maps and out in your address and then click from here... then add blackpool pleasure beach and it will give you the quickest route.

    Enjoy your trip :)

EDIT : Here is a link to GoogleMaps... Frm darlington to blackpool lleasure beach...

  6. i live in blackburn it's near blackpool.we are going to blackpool next week

  7. Personally I don't like Blackpool as I don't like the fairground or amusement arcades, I have family there and could get a free holiday but its not for me. To get from Darlington I would go down the motorway to Preston and get cut off for Blackpool, much the same way as we would coming from scotland.
