Question:

Blackpool Pleasure Beach - Tickets/Wristbands - How does it work?

Hi. I have booked a holiday with my family to Blackpool pleasure beach. I have a few questions:

1) Is it free entry to the park and you only show wristands/tickets to go on rides? Or is it like Thorpe park where you have to purchase before entry?

2) If we want to go on only 1 or maybe 2 rides on the theme park, can we pay individually for each ride we go on without buying a wristband? (its for elderly parents).

3) Where do we purchase individual ride tickets from if thats how it works?

Thanks!

  1. hi

it is free entry into blackpool pleasure beach, you can buy the wristband and/or tickets at the entrance if you want to.

wristbands enable you to go on any rides how ever many times you want whereas with tickets you are limited to what type - 'adult' or 'kid' rides you can go on.

you cant pay to go on the rides but have to buy the tickets or use the wristbands.

like i mentioned above wristbands can be purchased at the entrance or maybe around in the park itself. hope that helps.

    have fun!

  2. The park is free to get in, you have to buy a wristband or tickets to go on rides.

You can purchase tickets from machines in the park so you can buy as little as you want.

  3. Free entry to park. If you go on lots of rides its worth buying a wrist band as it lasts all day. If you want to go on only a few rides you have to buy so many tickets per ride. there are many ticket booths around the park, so you don't need to queue at the entrance to buy tickets. Have fun it's a great place.

  4. After over a century of offering “free admission”, things will change at Blackpool Pleasure Beach in 2009 with the introduction of a new admission fee. At that point in time guests will either have to pay £5 for what they are calling a “Freedom Pass” just to get in and pay extra for attractions as they go, or buy the Unlimited Ride Wristband option. To be fair the Freedom Pass will include admission to the Chinese Puzzle Maze, the Pleasure Beach Express train, the Monorail, Noah’s Ark and a stage show.

I was there a few weeks ago me and my family go every year cos we love it so much I think the prices used to be fair and still are but you ever know how many changes are going to happen sice the owner died and his daughter took over.

You can purchase seperate ride tickets but it really is better to get the wrist bands but that's your decissions if you want to buy writst bands or tickets for your elders. When I took my grandparents they got wristbands but didn't go on any of the thrillers but there is alot of other choice.

I'm sure you can purchase the tickets for rides at the desk where you enter the park but we've never used that system.

If you want some more information why not check out the site it has most things you need to know

  5. Yep, entry is free.

Multi ride wristbands and individual ride tickets are available at main entry points and ticket booths dotted about the park.

  6. hiya umer s    its free to go into the pleasure beach, you can walk around all day and not have to go on any think,if you buy the band, you can use it over and over again to go on the rides.there is lots of things to go on. you will have a great day out there, and there is plenty to do/see for all the family. don't forget your camera,as you will have a day to remember, and you can show all your friends, what a great day you had.have a lovely day.x*x

  7. The wristbands work out loads cheaper because you can go on rides over and over all day
