Blackpool’s Charlie Adam plays down exit talks: EPL news

Blackpool midfielder Charlie Adam has refused to speculate on his future with the club. Adam insists that he is focused solely on his current job, claiming that his immediate target is to guide Blackpool to Premier League survival this season.
It is widely believed that the 25-year-old will leave Bloomfield road after the end of the ongoing 2010-11 season of the Barclays Premier League. Adam has undoubtedly been the best player for Blackpool throughout the campaign, and his stellar performances
have been attracting attention from the big boys of the English top flight.
Charlie Adam came close to leaving the club in the January transfer window. A number of clubs were vying for the player’s services at the time, most notably http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Liverpool-c39809, who put an offer of 6 million pounds on the table. However, Blackpool rejected Adam’s
suitors in a bid to keep a hold of their prized asset. Manager Ian Holloway insisted at the time that Charlie Adam was worth a lot more money than the amount Liverpool were offering, and he steadfastly refused to let go of the 25-year-old.
However, it now seem that Adam’s time at Bloomfield road could be coming to an end. There are reports that Liverpool manager Kenny Dalglish is preparing another bid for the midfielder. Blackpool may find it difficult to turn down the Reds this time around.
Adam has one more year left on his contract with the Tangerines, and the club might just be forced to sell the player rather than risk having him leave for nothing at the end of next season.
However, despite all that is going on around him, Adam remains focused on ensuring that his side win their battle against relegation this season.
Speaking on the matter, the midfielder said, “My targets are the five games and safety. We'll let the future take care of itself. I don't make the decision about my future. The club make it and at the end of the day the club is the most important thing.
First and foremost we have to stay in the Premier League."
Blackpool are currently in the danger zone, as they sit in 17th place with just five games of the season left to play.
