Blackrose Bullet eyeing hat-trick at Mildenhall
After taking two wins in good style, Blackrose Bullet is all set to strike hat-trick at Mildenhall and, despite a tricky draw, he looks good to show a winning performance in Sunday’s Jane Goodchild Memorial Stakes.
After doing well in the trials at Henlow, the black dog was expected to strike on his arrival here. But he failed to live up to the expectations, and finished fifth on December 8th. The dashing hound quickly got his act together, and demonstrated a fascinating show on his penultimate outing.
E. Cantillon’s trainee always led the race, and eventually seized the top place by six and a half lengths. Another amazing win was grabbed by him on the Boxing Day. After leaving the fifth box, he baulked right in the beginning. He was trying to recover, but another big mess embraced him at the first bend.
The son of College Causeway got bumped, and lost considerable amount of his pace. After going through such heavy mess, it was very tough for him to make an impression. The Jan-10 did not lose determination, and made a strong finish. Consequently, he notched up the top position by a length’s distance.
After an excellent hard-earned victory, the Jan-10 hound is fully pumped. So, one can easily expect him to show a cracking performance. Other hounds in the pack are: Smooth Nation, Ard Vark, Boherduff s****., Bangcrashwallop, and Romeo Militia.
The race will be run over a distance of 545 metres. The officials are due to kick off the proceedings at 15:00 GMT. Alongside plenty of admiration, the successful hound will collect a prize of 150 pounds.
Boherduff s****. ought to strip fitter for the recent exertion. After running well in the trials, the blue dog could not maintain the standards, and finished third last time around. Bangcrashwallop was way below his best in his previous few encounters. Therefore, the punters should wait for signs of a revival before supporting him.
Ard Vark does stick to the task over six bends. An extra push is required though. Smooth Nation is always worth a second glance. On the other hand, Romeo Militia does not make any appeal after failing to show much in his previous outing over C&D.
