Blackrosemustang wins Winter 375 Maiden – Duplicated at Mildenhall on Jan 22
A dominating performance steered Blackrosemustang, to victory in the Winter 375 Maiden - Duplicated, held at Mildenhall on Sunday, January 22, 2012.
Ahead of the race, Blackrosemustang, Never Give Up’s son out of Mustang Mega, was declared as the favourite with the winning chances of 4 to 5.
Since it was just a 375 metre long Grade Open Race (OR) heat, a slight miscalculation might have been disastrous for the brindle dog.
However, the rampant hound made no mistake, and kept his dominance all the way through. After leaving the third stall, E J Cantillon’s trainee covered the distance in 23.81 seconds.
It was a close victory for Blackrosemustang, as the runner-up finished just a head’s distance adrift of the triumphant hound.
Gateway Callum, carrying the odds of 8 to 1, reached the post in 23.83 seconds. The blue dog showed a clear run, but failed to overtake the champion at any stage.
Ahane Lad’s son out of Rutland Lilly, beat Stargate Spark, by five lengths, after setting off his run from the sixth trap.
Stargate Spark, Ace Hi Rumble’s daughter out of Senahel Spark, finished third on the table, with the covering time of 24.24 seconds.
The black b***h was holding the winning probability of 4 to 1, breaking in from the second stall. She was lucky to end up among the top-3, as the fourth placed hound finished just a short head’s distance behind her.
Cloncunny Mag, carrying the odds of 10 to 1, took 24.25 seconds to touch the finishing point. The black b***h was followed by Little Thanks, who completed the distance in 24.27 seconds. With the starting price of 12 to 1, the b***h Shaneboy Lee’s daughter
out of Patterdale Chloe, kicked off her run from the fourth stall.
The last place went to Diesel Elsie, who was carrying the winning chances of 9 to 4. The blue b***h baulked early on and therefore, it took her 24.34 seconds to wrap up the proceedings.
Blackrosemustang has recorded his win in the 375-metre category of the Greyhound racing. It was his second triumph overall, and the hound is likely to produce a lot of good results this season.
