I have a bottle of unsulphured molasses it is very light in color and taste kind of like honey. my grandma has some preserved blackstrap molasses its extremely dark and taste pretty much like nothing and isnt sweet at all. i would rather use blackstrap. i was wondering how i could turn the unsulphured molasses into blackstrap molasses at home.

  1. Blackstrap molasses is from the last extractions of sugar from cane.   Other molasses are from the earlier extractions.

Think of it like olive oil.   The 1st extraction is EVOO and the last would be PURE.

So your question would be similar to asking how to make Pure olive oil from extra virgin olive oil.
