Question:

Bladder or UTI Infection?

The other day i noticed a fairly sever pain in my back on my left side where my kidney is. I then noticed a slight pain during urination, and i am going a lot more than normal. I have been drinking lots of cranberry juice, and taking cranberry pills, and it seems to be getting better, but the thing that concerns me is that i have a slight pain, or discomfort in my s*****m. Its not too bad, but i have never really had a problem before. The pain isn't horrible, but any pain down there is noticeable. Could this be a symptom of a UTI? I am 20, and i am overweight, but my health isn't horrible. Any ideas? Thanks.

  1. Go and see a doctor as only a proper medical examination can diagnose the problem accurately and thus point to a cure.  Delay will only make matters worse as any infection can spread to your kidneys and/or bladder.

Cranberry juice is not the magic potion that its makers would like you to think it is.  Be careful not to overdose on it.

  2. Painful urination and frequency are most common signs for a UTI. If you also have some pain in s*****m it could be that you have epididymitis. For the right diagnosis and treatment (w/ antibiotics) you should go see a doctor.
