The 25-year-old has admitted that Les Parisiens weren’t at their usual best in the 2-1 defeat at the hands of Stade Rennais on Saturday but has promised better performances from the Ile giants in the future
Paris Saint-Germain were defeated by an impressive looking Rennes side at the weekend and http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Blaise-Matuidi-c7681 has admitted that losing such kind of games at home is not what PSG want.
It was Les Parisiens’ second defeat of the 2012/2013 Ligue 1 campaign and the result has pushed them down to third place in the league. The hosts were far from their best and looked rusty on the pitch. Rennes took full advantage of the situation and were
rewarded for their hard work with maximum points on road.
While talking to reporters after Saturday’s match, Blaise Matuidi stated that it was a good opportunity for PSG to cement their place at the summit but they failed to do so. Paris Saint-Germain created few good goalscoring opportunities but the Frenchman
believes that luck wasn’t with them and it just wasn’t their day.
"We are very disappointed to have lost at home, playing 11 versus just nine. We tried to equalise but luck wasn't on our side.”
The http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/France-c2899 international admitted that Les Parisiens were far from their usual best and nothing went right for the hosts on Saturday. The player added that PSG need to learn from their mistakes and perform better in the upcoming matches.
Blaise Matuidi has urged his teammates to forget about Saturday’s game and start preparing for the Champions League tie against Dynamo Kyiv, which is set to take place on Wednesday.
“We have to have a good look at ourselves and see what went wrong and knuckle down to work. We don't have time to cry over spilt milk because we have another big match on Wednesday.”
On a question regarding Paris Saint-Germain’s’ objectives in Ligue 1, Matuidi said that winning the Championelle is the main priority of club and is confident that Carlo Ancelotti’s side will perform better in the upcoming games.
“We are doing it tough in Ligue 1 and we have to work hard to turn things around."
