Los Angeles Clippers star Blake Griffin starts internship at Will Ferrell’s Comedy Website: NBA News
As the lockout continues, so do the surprises. If the notion that Kevin Durant might be starring in a Hollywood movie sounds strange, so does  the fact that Blake Griffin is interning at Will Ferrell’s comedy website known as ‘Funny
or Die’.
The website was co founded by actor Will Ferrell and his friend Adam Mckay. Griffin is expected to be part of a three day video production project and was present at the company’s head office in Los Angeles on Tuesday.
It is reported that the Los Angeles Clippers star will help write, shoot, edit and act in various videos for the site. ‘Funny or Die’ is a project which creates digital content often featuring various celebrities. Some of the big
names that have already featured in their videos include Ben Stiller, Jack Black, Natalie Portman and many others.
Griffin’s main motivation to intern at the website stemmed from his love for comedy. He himself is a regular visitor of the website and hopes that this experience will teach him a thing or two about movie production and its associated
elements.
"Just to get an inside look at how things are run here is exciting to me," Griffin said. "I don't know what interns at Funny Or Die are like, but I'm about to find out, I guess."
The president of production, Mike Farah, state that there will be no preferential treatment for Griffin and that he will be treated similar to other interns, who are round about the same age as the 22 year old Clippers’ star.
"We're going to put him to work," said Farah. "He's shooting a series of videos, and he's also coming to meetings. He's basically doing everything that an intern does."
Even Griffin stated that he is happy to be treated like every other intern and asserted that even if he has to fetch coffee for the senior staff, he will do it without any hesitation. "I don't mind doing stuff like that," said
the forward. "It's not a problem for me."
According to Griffin, some of his favourite movies include "Wedding Crashers", “Old School” and "Anchorman: The Legend of Ron Burgundy". He just about loves everything that has to do with comedy and enjoys Zach Galifianakis' mock
interview series "Between Two Ferns" on the ‘Funny or Die’ Website.
"I'll go see a bad comedy over a good action movie any day," Griffin said.
Like many others, Griffin also seems to be enjoying this spare time, trying to indulge in the things that are of interest to him. The big man was the show stopper last season as he won Rookie of the year as well as the Slam Dunk
Contest. He has kept himself busy during the lockout through participation in sponsorship work as well as a basketball camp for kids.
