Blake Griffin and Chris Paul not happy after Clippers go 1-4 in last five games – NBA News

The Los Angeles Clippers had a dream start to their 2012-2013 season, winning their first bunch of games and cruising in the top three of the Western Conference. DeAndre Jordan looked like a much improved player from last season
which was giving the Clippers a good front court, and the addition of Jamal Crawford had taken some pressure off from the team in terms of points. However, all has gone awfully wrong for the Clippers in the past five games as teams have made their necessary
adjustments against the new-look team. The Clippers are 1-4 in the last five games and are sliding down the Western Conference. Their defence is not up to the mark and Jordan has gone back to his old mediocre self.
The Clippers suffered their ugliest loss of the season on Monday night when they were defeated by the New Orleans Hornets without their 2012 number one draft pick, Anthony Davis. After the game, both Blake Griffin and Chris Paul
made comments that caught the attention of many around the league.
“We tried to change some of the things we’ve been successful doing,” said Griffin.
“CP3 said #Clippers lost to “a less-talented team that was well coached,” said Dan Woike on Twitter.
Ever since the Clippers started their team restructuring in the offseason, the question on everyone’s mind was whether they would continue with Vinny Del Negro as their head coach or go for a coaching change. Chris Paul, who is
all set to be a free agent next season, was anticipated to use his free agency as leverage to get a coaching change in the Clippers. However, the Clippers did not make any change and Del Negro is said to have a good relationship with the ownership group. Hence,
the chance of a change of coach is out of picture for the moment. However, this does not mean that Del Negro will not be under pressure to deliver after an offseason that saw the Clippers spend alot of money to get some great players into the roster. The Clippers
are looking at a deep run in the playoffs this season, and anything short could prove to be very costly for Del Negro. With the Clippers slipping, Del Negro has to find his footing in the team and bring them back to their winning ways.
