About two weeks ago there was an opinion article where a person was starting a petition to control noise pollution from ambulances (you know what I'm talking about if you live near the NAC, specially early in the morning). If anyone knows anything about it please please answer the question. Loads of appreciation in advance!

  1. The newspaper is owned by the following, which could possibly help you with an archived edition of the issue you are seeking:

  2. When the person brought the house was the nac there?

If so the person should of known that there could be a problem with the sirens

Would the person be upset if he was knocked down by a speeding ambulance that  did not have its sirens on as it went by his house

He would want an ambulance to put a siren on to move traffice out of the way whatever time of day or night it was if it was going to one of his loved ones.

traffic can be a problem what ever time of day or night it is

This is just another example of NIMBY ( not in my back yard ) thinking

  3. would this person be moaning if he needed an ambulance urgently

  4. YES, I TO CAME CROOS IT. THE MAN FILED PETITION ON THE NOISE OF SIREN OF AMBLANCES WHICH GO ACROSS NAC. HIS DEMAND WAS TO LOW THE SOUND OF SIREN NEARBY NAC,AS THE AMBULANCES COME HERE OFTEN. I THINK WHAT HE DEMANDED WAS ALLRIGHT AS WE GET DISTURED TOO OFTEN.

  5. It's the poxy garda helicopters that they should be giving out about. The noise of the bloody things at all hours of the morning. Anyways if your driving down a busy street with a lot of noise and an ambulance is coming with a low siren how the h**l are you supposed to hear the thing and move out of the way in time. The idea of ambulances is too get sick people to a hosiptal as quickly as posible, and they do that by alerting people in good time that they are coming through. Maybe they could play a musical siren, might be more appealing to your sensitive ears. You could petition them to play the top 10 hits of the week maybe?
