Blank dvd not recognized on windows vista?

I just bought dvdfab gold in order to backup the dvds I own. When I put the blank dvd into the burner drive and click burn, it says the disk is not recognized. What do I do?

try

first check correct dvd for burner,

download "free easy burner" a free very good burner.

try it

it will prove your drive and or program is ok

try eject dvd then re enter it see if it will be recognised.

hope this helps.

you could also try wash dvd in tepid water with a drop of detergent (something like fairy liquid)

dry well then try again

the surface film or static might be the problem.
